The majestic stag is often associated with regeneration, fertility and abundance. It's antlers, which are shed and regenerated, represent the Tree of Life and are symbolic of spiritual regeneration. It's antlers were also seen as a receptacle for celestial energies. The stag, representing the masculine side of the balance of nature, was a totem animal for the antlered deity Cernunnos, ruler and protector of animals and nature. Cernunnos often shape-shifted, adopting the form of a stag, and Celtic legend has numerous tales of a white stag as a divine messenger leading heroes on magical quests. This meaningful piece is available in a WOOD finish only. Measures 3" x 3".
